Tasting notes: Alba de Domus 2009
Updated: May 7, 2020
Lively and deep garnet ruby.
The nose shows balsamic and spicy tones: incenses, dried herbs and fruits with sweeter spices above slight tones of black pepper. A smooth almond notes gives softness to cherries, blackcurrants and blackberries while tobacco and almonds chocolate add to complexity.
The mouth offers a progressive architecture where first appears the yet shown aromatic profile and the tactile side: fine and tight tannins, well integrated with a growing presence providing a powerful and deep structure giving even more texture to the body. Dense and almost compact at the beginning, the wine finally free itself
through a long expressive finish made of wild ripe berries, dried herbs and spices.
